Performance Assurance Reporting and Monitoring System (PARMS)

Paul Fox • Jul 30, 2018

The Performance Assurance Reporting and Monitoring System (PARMS) collects data and supports several Performance Assurance Techniques. The PARMS database contains information about how suppliers and their supplier hubs are performing. Performance data is submitted monthly by:

  • suppliers
  • supplier agents and supplier meter registration agents (SMRAs)
  • supplier volume allocation agent (SVAA).

A charge will be incurred by suppliers who do not provide a complete set of performance data either themselves or via their Supplier Agents by the 20th working day deadline.

Supplier agents produce reports that are fed into PARMS detailing how quickly and efficiently agents are sending meter reads and meter technical details. The main reports prided by suppliers are:

  1. DPI (data provider information) – where suppliers indicate in which areas they are operating and who their appointed agents are in each area;
  2. SP04 & serial data – MPANs that have exceeded 100kW demand in the reporting month, so triggering the need for affected MPANs to change to half-hourly metering.

PARMS collates this supplier data with agents’ data and issues reports including:

  1. Auto-generated PARMS reports
  2. Supplier – Agent statistics
  3. Peer comparison
  4. Supplier charges.
