Qualification Process

Qualification Process

Gain your industry qualifications with Dyball Associates

To become a qualified energy supplier within the UK energy market, a number of codes and practices have to be satisfied or adhered to. In particular, a new electricity supplier must achieve MRA Entry Process Board (MEPB) and Performance Assurance Board (PAB) approval.

Whether it’s creating a pre-accredited “off-the-shelf” supply business , or guiding a new entrant through market qualification,  Dyball Associates follows the same proven and structured approach to achieve accreditation. This structure runs qualification processes in parallel to shorten the time-frame to market entry.

The delivery requirements include the creation of business policy documents, to ensure the industry is satisfied that standard operating policies exist within the business seeking qualification.

The policy documents a new energy supplier will have to demonstrate:

  • Key Performance Indicators Values & Targets
  • Document Management Policy
  • Testing Policy
  • Change Management Policy
  • Problem Management Policy
  • Configuration Management Policy
  • Release Management Policy
  • MDD Management Policy
  • Management Reporting Policy
  • Backup and Data Retention Policy
  • Agent Management Policy
  • Security Policy
  • Disaster Recovery Policy

In addition to policy documentation, the MRA Entry Process Board (MEPB) require the completion and submission of the MRA Entry Assessment.

This assessment covers the following areas:

  • MRA Entry Assessment Part 0 - Initial Risk Assessment
